The Treatment Process

Your hot stone massage begins with the therapist selecting and heating smooth volcanic basalt stones to the optimal temperature of 50-55°C. After a warm oil application, heated stones are placed on energy meridian points — along the spine, on the palms, between the toes, and on the forehead. Your therapist then uses additional warm stones as massage tools, gliding them along muscles with long, flowing strokes. The weight and heat of the stones allow the therapist to work deeper with less pressure, making this ideal for those who want deep relaxation without intense pressure. Cool marble stones may also be used on the face for a refreshing contrast. The session concludes with a gentle stretching sequence and warm towel wrap.
